Not really, in the United States the exchange rate is 5 dollars to 4 points. Considering most values dealt with are divisible by 800, it's quite easy to figure it out.

I'm not saying it makes sense to have an exchange rate in the first place (it doesn't), but I don't appreciate this whole "exchange rate make no sense!!1" jargon just because some mean old mother hubbard can't work with ratios.
